Frequently Asked Questions

What time do you start and what time do you finish

The start time and the finish time varies from wedding to wedding. Normally I start with the groom coverage, then the bride coverage, wedding ceremony followed by congratulations, group photo and family photos, location photoshoot and the reception up until the first dance. This way I can cover the whole day and give you the best story of your wedding day.

The timing for each part of the day in general looks like this:

  • Groom Coverage – 30 mins to 1 hour;

  • Bride Coverage – 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes;

  • Ceremony – 30 minutes to 1 hours;

  • Congratulations, Group Photo and Family Photos – 30 minutes to 1 hour;

  • Location Photoshoot – 1 hour to 4 hours;

  • Reception – about 1 hour to 2 hours.

Do we get the high resolution images

Yes. You will get high resolution colour corrected images. Some of them can be also supplied in black & white, as some couples prefer them this way.

Retouching of some photos, to remove any imperfection you might have on a day, can be arranged at an extra cost. Please refer to our Packages page.

How many images do we get

On average, on a full wedding day, I shoot around 800 – 1000 photos. From these 800 – 1000 photos I will delete test shots, blinking shots, duplicates and basically any shots I don't like so you will get around 450-600 images of the very best quality. The amount of photos also depends on the amount of locations, any other ceremonies and celebrations that require more shots to be taken and on the package option you select.

How long does it take to get our photos

Normally you will have you photos ready in 3-4 weeks time.

Do you re-touch the photos

Yes I do. I will adjust exposure, correct white balance and crop them to improve overall composition. Basically, all the photos supplied on DVD or USB will be re-touched to make them look great.

Additional re-touching can be done, at an extra cost, to remove any imperfections you might have on the day (around 20-30 images).

In case you want to have a set of printed images or you want to have a printed album, we need process these images in Photoshop, to make sure it looks good on the paper and only after that to pass them on to a printer company. This is a special process and takes additional time and cost more money. This is the reason why we are offering this as an option.

Are the images watermarked

No, they are not. All the images are the high resolution images without any water marks.

Are you offering wedding albums what kind of albums are they

Yes, we are offering this option at an extra cost. There are a lot of different styles of albums available on the market: traditional window matt style albums, coffee table books and magazines.

How long does it take to get the album

You will receive your photos in digital format around 3-4 weeks after the wedding. Then it will take another 2-3 weeks for me to design you photo album using the best photos from your wedding day. As soon as it all done we can organise a time to go through the proposed design, to go through the proposed images, change and adjust whatever required to be changed. Once you are happy with the final design, I will export it into production.

Normally it takes another 6-8 weeks to get it printed and delivered to you.

I do not feel comfortable in front of the camera, what should we do

Every wedding I meet people who are very shy, people who do not want to be photographed and even people who hate to be photographed. Actually, I've seen quite a few of them.The best way to approach this sort of issue - make people comfortable, make them laugh, make them forget about me, my camera and my existence. I'll shoot them from the distance - I mean I'll take photos from the distance. I let them interacting with each other, talk to friends and the family and enjoy the celebration.

What happens if it rains on the day

Well - some people do love rain! So, I guess it is not a problem for them. For the rest of us - there is always a way to make good photos regardless of the weather.

If it is just drizzling we can make awesome shots with umbrellas, using very soft light from the clouds, crispy clean colours and sparkling wet surfaces to make pictures brighter and richer.

If it is raining and I mean if it is really-really raining and your reception area outside is flooded, well then we can go inside, in a bar, in a cafe, somewhere under cover to take photos. There are always options and ways to take great pictures.

What happens if the photographer is sick

Photographers are also Humans. I have been lucky and never pulled out on a wedding or any other events. But everything is possible. So, if we have the worst case scenario - I’m dying and cannot make it, we still have a few options:

  • I have another photographer, who works with me as a second shooter and has similar style and approach;

  • I know a lot of very good photographers that I could refer you too;

  • If you decide to hire a different photographer, a full refund will be given no questions asked.

What if I need more coverage of my wedding (extra time)

This is totally fine. You may let me know beforehand or simply decide on the day, either is fine by me.

The cost is $250 p/hour for additional time. I'll be more than happy to support your request.
